How To Batch Convert Audio Files

Choose A Batch

Open File > Batch Convert… in the English interface. Choose files… selects the source files for the batch.

Use a small representative group first if the files come from different recorders or use unfamiliar codecs.

1. Open Batch Convert… and choose the source files.
2. Confirm the file count.
3. Choose a separate Output folder… for the converted copies.

Set The Delivery Format

Select the format that matches your next use. MP3 makes a compressed copy for everyday listening; WAV and FLAC are useful when you need uncompressed or lossless audio.

The dialog offers sample rate, channels, bit depth or bitrate where relevant. Keep the source settings unless your destination has a specific requirement.

Convert And Check

Start the conversion and wait for its completion message. Do not confuse format conversion with restoring quality: the source limits the detail available.

1. Run the batch.
2. Open the output folder.
3. Play at least one converted file and compare its duration with the source.
